Word of mouth: Japan
In 1978, I first met President Liu. At that time, Takeda planned to build a new GMP-compliant pharmaceu¬tical factory in Zhongli, and I was assigned to Taiwan to over¬see that project. In order to investigate the appropriate GMP-compliant machinery, I gathered representatives from five man¬ufacturers and asked them to provide quotations and design concepts in accordance with my requirements.
By the deadline, only Yenchen provided the quotation and design concepts in accordance with my requirements. However, GMP guidelines were not incorporated into the designs. I pointed out the inappropriate aspects. The next day, I revised the material several times. Gradually, Yenchen came to under¬stand my requirements and I began to trust Yenchen more.
Finally, I decided to purchase the Distilled Water Equipment, Hot Air Sterilizer, Steam Sterilizer, Tumbling Mixer, Power Mill, and Rubber Stopper Washer from Yenchen. My techni¬cal staff from Taiwan and the team from Yenchen worked very hard to complete the project which required integrating new machines from Yenchen and other machines purchased from Japan.
